Welcome back!

In this month's housing market insight, Samantha Clothier, Moreton's branch manager, is going to be delving into  Moreton's current housing market!

Take it away Sam...

"Since the outbreak of the pandemic the housing market has gone from strength to strength with prices rising at an astonishing rate! Buyers’ demand has outweighed the number of properties coming to market over the last two years, meaning buyers offering above the asking price to secure their dream home, which also increases prices.

Moreton is an ideal first-time buyer location with great amenities and transport links;  is a lovely place to start your life as a homeowner. Moreton, Upton, Leasowe, Wallasey, and New Brighton offer a diverse selection of houses, meaning we deal a low entry point from £60,000 all the way up to million-pound properties with sea and river views.

It’s a popular place with buy-to-let investors buying family homes in good locations to rent to families who cannot afford to buy in this market.

With interest rates rising and the cost of living increasing, speculation in the popular press anticipates a drop in the market which does concern some potential buyers, currently, that isn’t affecting pricing or the level of interest in properties in our area so far.  The housing market in Moreton and surrounding areas is still very strong and we are achieving really good offers with many properties still selling within less than 24 hours of marketing!

With the warm weather and the longer days many buyers are keen to secure a property with outside space such as a garden or courtyard or at least be close to outdoor space or within easy reach of Moreton and New Brighton shores or lovely parks such as Warwick Park in Upton or Vale Park in New Brighton, therefore these areas are still the hot spots which our Moreton office covers.

My team & I would love to help you with any property questions you may have, either just pop into our Moreton branch for a chat or call us on 0151 678 9760, we would be delighted to help you sell or find your new home.

We also have an in-house mortgage adviser who is free to talk you through your options and arrange a mortgage in principle for you."
