The walk is flat, lasting about 2 1/2 hours, but be aware that there are some dangerous cliffs, and it can be slippery and uneven underfoot at times. The guide's foremost objective is to keep you safe, they will ensure that your journey is well paced and suited to the ability of the individual group. There are basic toilets facilities on the island.
On all their walks, they walk without expectation, using all their senses to make contact with the natural environment. You will learn about the tides and about the safe crossing path to the island practically from qualified and very experienced guides who act as a ‘knowledgeable other'.
It will be necessary for all participants to wear sensible shoes or wellies, have access to waterproofs and have sufficient drinks and snacks during the experience (we do not supply these). The weather can be very changeable and if inclement, the activity will be postponed or cut short at the discretion of the group leader.
