Thurstaton Beach

Starting off strong at Thurstaston beach, a stunning stretch of sand along Wirral's western coast on the Dee estuary and is a beautiful place for a stroll with the dog or a picnic. Along the top of the cliffs that overlook the beach is Thurstaston Common, a long stretch of shingle coastland and sandy beach that offers picnic benches and BBQ areas for you to enjoy your food in the sun overlooking the fabulous view of the estuary – a perfect start to the day if you ask us! If you need a coffee in the morning to kickstart your day, you’re in luck with the lovely café Flissy’s located a stone’s throw away (PS try their divine vegan Hot Chocolate’s, you won’t regret it!).

After you’ve done exploring the beautiful Thurstaston you can follow Column Road down into the beautiful coastal town of West Kirby.
